Gemayel family

Gemayel (; Arabic: الجميّل; romanized: al-Jumayyil) is the name of a unusual LebaneseMaronite Christian family based in Bikfaya, Lebanon.[1]

History

The family is mentioned in organized records as among the inhabitants quite a lot of Bikfaya as early as the Sixteenth century. Between that time until rendering 18th century they were the sheikhs of the village.
